Fabricademy

La Fabricademy è un corso transdisciplinare focalizzato sullo sviluppo delle nuove tecnologie nell’industria tessile nelle sue diverse applicazioni, dall’industria della moda ai wearables agli e-textile. Il programma è diviso in due parti e si sviluppa nell’arco di sei mesi, i primi tre sono dedicati a seminari e moduli di apprendimento e gli ultimi tre sono incentrati sulla ricerca individuale basata sul progetto del/della partecipante.

La Fabricademy segue un modello educativo distribuito: studenti e studentesse si incontrano in gruppi di lavoro locali con colleghi e tutor, che sono poi collegati a livello globale tramite la condivisione di contenuti e video in classi interattive. I singoli fablab sono poi supportati e supervisionati a livello regionale da da supernodi.

WeMake ha ospitato il bootcamp della Fabricademy nel 2018 ed è stato un nodo dell’accademia.

PROGRAM

Learn skills in great demand in the fashion, textiles and creative industries.
The Fabricademy program includes 3 months of lectures and another 3 months of local project development. During each week starting Sept. 25, every Tuesday at 9AM Boston, 15pm CET students will attend a global review and lecture. On Mondays at the same hour we are also planning talks from experts and practicioners for a further exploration of each week’s topic.

INTENSIVE COURSE

Get a top level training in only six months without traveling to a foreign country.
Fabricademy offers a distributed rather than distance educational model: students learn in local workgroups, with peers, mentors, and machines, which are then connected globally by content sharing and video for interactive classes. The individual labs are supported and supervised regionally by supernode sites with more advanced capabilities, expertise, and inventories.
